The Spring 2025 collection is developed around the theme of dépaysement—the displacement of objects from their original context to create a sense of dissonance and evoke new meanings.
Continuing the influence of Surrealism from last year, this collection draws inspiration from the famous phrase in Les Chants de Maldoror (1869) by Lautréamont: “the chance encounter of a sewing machine and an umbrella on a dissecting table.” Though written more than half a century before the emergence of Surrealism, this phrase has become a quintessential expression of its core ideas. In the same spirit, this collection seeks to generate newness through dissonance, embracing unexpected juxtapositions to challenge conventional perceptions.
